Events are a critical part of the UFO organization

OBJECTIVE: Discuss/Share information on challenges UFOs face to continue flying, informal sharing of past aviation experiences, with visits to related aviation sites.

SPONSORs: Central California UFOs with support of the UFO national office

PARTICIPANTS: Maximum of 35 UFO &Auxiliary Wing members, including accompanying significant other. You must be a UFO/AW member to attend, this is not a general aviation/type club event open to non-UFO members.

PROGRAM

May 9 Thursday

• 10:30 –12:15   Registration and No host brunch at Airport Café

• 12:15 -1:15     Airport Terminal: Opening session, review program, participant introductions etc.

• 1:15 – 3:15      Estrella Warbird & Auto Display Welcome to Estrella Warbirds Museum (ewarbirds.org)

• 3:30 – 4:30      Airport Terminal: Insurance presentation/discussion (i.e. Aviation Direct )

• 5:30 – 7:45     Dinner at Paso Robles Inn https://www.pasoroblesinn.com/ and presentation by former NTSB staff,

• 8:00 - 9:30      Optional Cost $45 Sensoria Light display Sensoria Paso Robles | Bruce Munro: Light at Sensoria

May 10 Friday

• 7:30 – 8:45     No Host Breakfast at hotels or Airport Café

• 9:00 – 10:00    Visit to Antique Aero at Airport

• 10:15 –11:30    Visit to Paso Robles Pioneer Museum

• 12:00- 1:30      Complementary Eberly Winery Tasting and Cellar tour Award Winning Paso Robles Wines | Eberle Winery

• PM participants leave for home or arrange private visits to local attractions including the Coast, additional wineries, and Hearst Castle Out and About | Paso Robles (travelpaso.com)

HOTELS:  Participants must book and finance their own accommodations - Host Suggests

• Hotel Adelaide Inn, $137 per night.   https://adelaideinn.com/ when you call mention UFO as host has blocked king bed rooms for May 8 - 10 at this special rate.  You can book at this rate up to April 30, 2024. Otherwise try www.Travelocity.com 

• RV Park Sun Country is nice and ½ mile from Airport.

TRANSPORT: Host will provide one 15 passenger van to help move between program locations and hotels and local participants have vehicles. No real need to rent a car but Enterprise Rentals are available at the Airport. UBER is available. All program sites, including downtown hotels, are within 10 minutes driving time of each other..

COST: Base registration $135 Per person including technical presentations, entry to Estrella Museum, etc. May 9 Dinner and NTSB presentation and local transport, Optional items included the Sensoria Light display ($45) and Eberly Winery tour and Tasting ($20) and participants will pay these optional tours before entry to the sites. Be sure to notify that you want either optional tour and bring cash or a check to pay entry.
